The Pierre Boulez Hall is an interior chamber music hall for the Barenboim/Said Academy and the West Eastern Divan Orchestra. The Barenboim/Said Academy is a music academy founded by conductor Daniel Barenboim and cultural theorist Edward Said to bring together Israeli and Arab musicians to study classical music and further cultural understanding.
In this two member team, I was responsible for all 3D and physical modeling of the double curved balcony and coordination of the theatrical lighting and sound systems.
This project was included in the Gehry Partners retrospective at LACMA and WAS featured in an exhibition at the Getty Center: Berlin/Los Angeles: Space for Music
