Writing Room
This project is a writing room for a filmmaker and poet in Los Angeles. Situated midway up a steep hill just above the main house the building engages multiple spaces and levels within the yard. A single room and powder room, it is enclosed by the curved wrapper of the exterior walls and crowned with a rooftop deck surrounded by an expressive parapet. The building engages with the site and surrounding landscape while transporting the viewer into a dream like space.
